In IROX are starting the project “PHOTO DATABASE OF MARINE SPECIES OF LA MARINA ALTA”. It is a participatory project, open to all partners that wish to send and share their photos of marine species in our waters.
The idea is to get a photographic database, which may eventually become a guide to identifying, in an inventory of the biodiversity of the area, … we’ll see … all this in a participatory, open to all who wish collaborated in this project.
The procedure is as follows
(1) You can send one or more photos to our email: iroxabia@gmail.com.
(2) A team of expert collaborators of the IROX review and validate the identification of the species of principal photography.
(3) After validating it, upload the image IROX website for public use and enjoyment. In all the images included in a “watermark” the name of the author of the photograph.
As we said, now consider that they are photos with a single species as a main reason. I carried out in the waters of Marina Alta.
It is a beginning. We’ll see later on if extended to other areas or pictures of other features.
