On February from 5 to 19 held the first conference of the IROX. In these three days there will be lectures on different aspects of the sea, in particular on fisheries, underwater and coastal archeology, and marine biology.
The first conference will take place on February 5, at 19:30., To the Casa del Pescador at the entrance to the grounds of Xàbia harbour. The conference is titled
SELF-REGULATION FISHERIES – THE ROCA DELS FELIUS
by the owner and memeber of the IROX fisheries department, AMADEU ROS i TORRES, a sailor family of sailors and shipwrights, we propose measures taken by the fishermen organizations of the Marina Alta to achieve a sustainable balance improves the current state of our sea and the future viability of the fishing activity.
The second conference will be held on 12 February at 19:30. At the Museum Soler Blasco of Xàbia. the conference
UNDERWATER AND COASTAL HERITAGE
XIMO BOLUFER, municipal archaeologist and member of heritage IROX department will explain the current status of marine and coastal heritage to our shores as well as future research projects.
The third conference, which will conclude the conference, will be held at the Library of Xàbia harbour on 19 February at 19:30. the conference
CNIDARIANS TO LA MARINA – RESEARCH PROPOSALS
by JOAN J. SOTO ÀNGEL biologist from the València University and the IROX secretary, who will explain the status of cnidarians to La Marina as well as our research proposals.
